SDL | SLC Course

Public Speaking
Designed specifically for students in grades K-5, this curriculum covers a wide range of aspects, including oral exercises, pronunciation, volume control, prosody, and logical thinking. The goal is to help children develop confidence, coherent expression skills, and the ability to perform on stage and deliver speeches. Our teachers have extensive experience in drama, stage performance, speech and debate, and will use both words and actions to comprehensively enhance children’s public speaking skills.

Debating
Students can join the school debate team from Year 5 onwards, which provides them with more exposure opportunities and future prospects. Our debate classes are offered for students in Year 5 to 10, led by private schools’ debate coaches and tournament judges. These classes aim to broaden students’ general knowledge, enhance their logical thinking, and improve their communication skills. The topics align with current politics, economics, humanities, and technology, allowing students to not only develop their debate skills but also indirectly assist their high school writing by providing additional arguments for essays and papers.

Writing
Based on their years of teaching experience, teachers select books of different styles to help students interpret vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric, structure, writing styles, and techniques. They conduct in-depth analyses of story settings and character portrayals. Students are then prompted to rewrite stories from different perspectives or create new compositions from varying viewpoints. The academic writing course will help students enhance their writing and reading skills simultaneously.

Math
The content of the course is arranged according to the individual level of the students, and the regular basic competition questions and the difficult problems in the school are studied to increase the flexibility of the students in coping with the exam. On this basis, Our courses can cultivate students’ ability to use various mathematical methods such as experimentation, induction, and analogy to solve problems, and exercise logical thinking.

Reading
High school teachers are leading our intensive reading classes, which will expand students’ vocabulary and understanding of writing structures, narrative concepts, the author’s writing style, central ideas, and the historical and cultural context behind the stories. These classes will cultivate reading habits, fluent reading, and encourage students to form their own interpretations of literary works, ultimately enhancing their writing skills.

Science
Our program offers a comprehensive approach to Science education for students in Year 7-12. It entails breaking down complex science concepts and theories, addressing problem areas, and providing guided practice with a tutor. Students are held accountable for their Science goals and receive valuable feedback on their reports, homework, and assessments. Additionally, our personalized 1-on-1 sessions include a needs analysis, real-time clarification of doubts, goal setting, and assessment preparation.
